“Innovation, stubbornness and a bit of madness” is winemaker Michael Martin’s credo when making his wonderful wines.The “Zum Martin Sepp” line is named after thefamous wine tavern located in Vienna’s Grinzig district which has beenowned and operated by the Martin family for generations, and today, by Michaeland his wife, Freya.His family has been making wine in nearby Weinvirtel for over a century, yet until recently,the region supplied wine almostexclusively for the Viennese market, with little or none exported to other countries or even other parts of Austria. MichaelMartin is one of the most dedicated winemakers you’ll find and hispassion for his homelandgrapes is boundless. He turns that passion into some of the freshest and tastiest Grüner and Zweigelt around. Following organic practices, Michaeland his team manually harvest and sort before they are fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks.
